1. WHAT ABOUT THE COST-TO-BENEFIT RATIO OF THE "YELLOW
JACKET" WEATHER CAP?
Our "Yellow Jacket" is the single most durable,
stable, environmentally resistant and therefore the most cost
efficient product of its kind on the market today. The Weather Cap
assures reliable discharge side protection, thereby reducing valve
maintenance cost to an absolute minimum plus extending the life of
the valve.
2. IS THE "YELLOW JACKET" AVAILABLE WITH A FLAT
TOP SURFACE INSTEAD OF THE 45° ANGLE TOP SURFACE?
NO. The slope design sheds debris and precipitation, prevents
sagging and deflects damaging environmental particles. The 45°
slope contributes to extended product life and structural
stability. The "Yellow Jacket" offers the same valve
protection when installed on a nipple with a 90° cut as one with
the 45° cut.
3. WHAT ARE THE TEMPERATURE LIMITS OF THE "YELLOW
JACKET" WEATHER CAP?
The "Yellow Jacket's" functions remain consistent
between temperatures of -100° F to 280° F.
4. WHAT ARE THE PRESSURE LIMITS OF THE "YELLOW
JACKET" WEATHER CAP?
There are NONE. However, PVC solvents and acrylic or polymer
paints applied to the exhaust nipple prior to installation of the
"Yellow Jacket", and NOT YET CURED, is likely to cause
bonding of the weather cap to the nipple.
5. WHAT SIZES OF "YELLOW JACKETS" ARE AVAILABLE
WITH LANYARD DEVICES?
Size 0.5" through 4" are molded as a single unit,
which includes the lanyard and anchor ring. The single unit
"Yellow Jacket" can be installed with or without the
lanyard and ring attached. Size 6" through 14" are
available WITH or WITHOUT the lanyard device.
